Nijera Kori recognizes the importance of voices of and for the poor in order to establish their fundamental rights. Building such a voice is important if institutions are to become more responsive to the needs of the poor. The concept of voice is closely associated with the acquiring of social and political capital, and the need to change structures and processes which create inequalities in livelihoods. |
